Weight Loss

What’s Really Eating Us: Black Women & Weight – A 3-month weight loss coaching and accountability program

This program is designed to support black women to release weight and to identify and transform deep rooted cultural beliefs around diet, health, weight, and love.

Over 70% of black women are overweight and/or obese. According to the CDC by 2030, 100% of black women will be overweight and/or obese. Black women have a unique cultural connection to obesity and weight.

In this coaching and accountability program, we will not only lose weight, but we will make the connections to black culture, weight, emotional eating, stress, love, etc.

This program is ideal for black women looking to release weight and transform their beliefs, thoughts, and attitudes around diet, and health and deepen their connections to their culture and other black women.

Know Thyself: Taking The Journey Towards Radical Self-Awareness

Lailah Dunbar-Keeys

There is a universal principle that ensures us that we attract what we are. So as we endeavor to understand the conditions of our lives, all we must do is take a deep, unencumbered look at ourselves to see how or thinking, feeling, and believing are preventing our happiness, success, and growth.

For Black women, navigating the intersections of race, sex, and class,  self-awareness seems to be a  luxury. Yet, it is far from a bourgeois triviality; it is a necessity.

In this talk, we will discuss the importance of radical self-awareness, how and why self-awareness eludes us, and proactive and reactive strategies to foster radical self-awareness.
